MiMo

MiMo is a Percussion & Laptop duo exploring the relationship between organic and organized sound. As order is brought to our sonic environment, and melody, harmony and rhythm are deconstructed, the lines between will vanish.

A meeting of minds, a sounding board for ideas, a platform of alternative vibrations, MiMo represents a forum by which Matt Miller and Samuel Morgenstein expound upon current events, the vast bounty of the world’s music, and finally, the ability to converge all art forms into one: the kinship of creativity.

Matt Miller is a composer, sound designer, musician and field recordist whose compositions range from genre-bending, cross-cultural pop to what might best be described as organized noise.

Samuel Morgenstein, originally from New York, is an eclectic percussionist. If you can bang it, he can play it.
