Textural ambience
Rhythm in 4/4
Rhythm in 12/8 (includes an introduction to West African bell patterns)

Part 3 (1.5 hours) More Rhythm Excersises and Improvisation detailing:
Polyrhythms
2 against 3, 3 against 4, 3 against 5, 5 against 8, etc Accented subdivisions 7/8, 9/8, 12/8 and more groupings and grooves ie 2+2+2+3, 2+2+2+3+3
Recording Group Composition and Performance
A discussion of the workshop will lead to a selection of excersises from the previous two hours. These will be recorded for each participant to take home.
